Yeah, I'd also be pretty disappointed in no PJs. Hopefully that was just an aberration on that one flight.

Another small thing though - when the driver took me over to my plane (in a Porsche again), the door at the bottom didn't work, so we went up the exterior spiral staircase which is fine. But when we got to the top he just dumped me in the line in the middle of the jetbridge and left. In the past they would, somewhat embarrassingly, kinda barge their way to the front with F pax. I know its first world problems, but did seem a bit odd.

FRA-LAX today got the zippered amenity kit and it had Augustine Bader creams, not l'occitane. Did get PJs even for a day time flight. I do miss the Rimowa kits. Gathered quite a few of them between LH and TG (and TG had Hermes in it IIRC)

For my 3+ hour layover in FRA I had previously decided to forego the fct, but am having a rethink. Arriving from ORD in F continuing on to EDI. If all is on time worth it to schlep to fct then? Does coming from US going to UK make sense or would a fcl be better? (No need to enter Schengen at this point in the trip... ) I'm fairly terrified of transfers at FRA from previous trips, may have worn through a pair of shoes figuring it all out previously. This trip will likely be my one and done first class international trip so I do want/need to milk it for all I can. Good thing i grew up on a dairy farm! My return F is on LX via ZRH.

Just curious...you say that no PJs were offered, so I'm assuming that you asked for them. In which case, did they say why they had no PJs?
Wondering if maybe I should pack some for my next flight.

No PJs in F even on a day flight would be a major service failure, maybe the OP did not request them

If you simply follow the signs to B the transfer is long by distance from Z but not complicated, your Flight might even arrive at B, where EDI will most likely depart from, so to guarantee a car transfer to your EDI flight best to go to FCT, you just gain 2 passport stamps.

This answer was very helpful. I am in a similar position, arriving for ORD, connecting on LH to MAN, except my time is a bit shorter. This says to follow signs to B. I thought we went to Z/A then walk to FCT. Sorry for my confusion, I just really want to get there. Im a fast walker.
Thanks!
Thanks!
If you arrive at B you cab use FCLB., from B to FCT is much further & lines can be long at immigration to exit B terminal.

For flight originating at Frankfurt ( going to Chicago, which will be Z gate), what's the best way to use the FCL. Been through FCT many times but haven't been at the FCL in B gate area and want to use FCL for my upcoming flight.

FRA general security & immigration is a .... show & im being kind, then FCL B has reduced Food options, go figure but having been in FCL A , FCL B & FCT , in the last week, the latter has better catering, go figure. and anyway none were that great, in comparison to other LHG F lounges, my recommendation is head to FCT for seamless immigration & security & better catering than FCL B
