It's not requal year for me. So I'd take a punt at about 35000.

Switched roles (and companies) earlier this year. Going from a job where every monday morning my boss would say things like "be in Johannesburg! Tomorrow!!!" (in a company that only pays for economy fares), to a more relaxed lifestyle.

Met one of the Lufthansa Board members at an event a few months back, and when I mentioned I did 550.000 HON circle miles in coach in a year, he just muttered "you're insane!"

This Saturday is my last longhaul as a HON (spending my remaining miles on an F award to SEA). Kinda happy, kinda sad about it.

Just did. No more HONdom for me in 7 weeks from now. Back to "Frikadellen" and "Schaumwein" in the SEN lounges for me. (Based in NUE that's all I got most of the time anyway)

I promised to myself (and the wife): The next time I qualify for HON will be by doing bi-monthly longhauls in F. Just as the Wolf intended ;-)

That will be about 30000 less than 2009.
I will go slow on LH as well , but only because I discovered how much better
LX is.

fascinating how some of you are able to predict an exact mileage for the whole year, which translates into knowing most of your travel already. - I am pretty sure that those numbers are not just a wild guesses...

anyhow, 2010 not a requal year for me, but not sure yet which program to go for in *A now. still almost a week time to figure out though...

Well, my only travels I know between February and end of 2010 are two already booked award trips (0 miles) and one cheapo Berlin trip (some handful miles probably - I don't know and I don't care)

Until end of January I know most of my travels and will probably end up with about 50K miles by then. But on a side note: If this terrible snow () here does not come to an end soon I may go and try to cancel as many planned business trips as possible. One DelayDueToSnowChaos-situation per winter for me is already once too often.

For the entire year I may end up between 300K and 450K.
This is, why I exactly () calculated

Nono. It is not called guessing. It is called assumption based estimation.

Not a problem to get 'detailed' estimates when one round trip (2 segments) in Europe gets a SEN 1876 miles. Multiply.

For the record; this competition is now closed.

The late-arrivals up until now will be shown mercy and be allowed to participate.
