No, this might rather be an indicator that the third flight might be JFK but they will pick another "short" destination for the first two cities.

Maybe IAD?

JFK can't really handle it anyway, see AF.

Volcano-willing, there will certainly be flights sooner than November. Given the current delivery schedule, LH should have 4 A380's by then.

The most frequently listed opening routes seem to be JFK, NRT, and PVG. As several have noted, a JFK-FRA-NRT-FRA-JFK rotation works well given the current scheduling.
I looked at a PVG-IAD rotation or even a DEL-IAD rotation and neither is as perfect as jfk/fra/nrt given the current schedules.

The interesting thing is that the 400/401 route post-November (333) seems to only ever show Y seats for award availability.

Could this mean they will switch for the 380 and the 333 is a temporary placeholder for the A380?

Or it could be that they've only just made the change so haven't yet been able to calculate award allowances on the 333.

Whatever happens I can't wait to see what they're up to!

I tried making a dummy reservation to JNB on LH site for the said date and it shows a 747 not the A380.

Any of you have more info on this?
A while ago, Lufthansa offered a raffle where you could win the right to buy a ticket on the national team's flight on www.lufthansa-fanflug.de. At the time, there was no mention of the flight being on an A380, it just said "a charter flight with the national team". All tickets were booked up long ago, even before the announcement of the aircraft type.

Not sure I get what you're saying here. Just looks like a standard 747 to me?

Surely seats available but showing F0A0, just means some tickets not had seats allocated for some reason.

No because on 3 or 4 out of 7 days you can see F9A9 and on the other days, always less than F8A8.

Looks like it will be NRT despite The Man saying it would be JFK.

By September there are only 8 max on LH 710 on a daily basis (although award seats still available).

Oh, they must be switching it to a A340

8 seats already allocated and no more available for sale means the new A380 F cabin with 8 seats is full.
That's my interpretation. (Most people who book F tickets also allocate their seats at time of booking)

The previous rumours about NRT being the first route seem to be closer to reality.
During June only 1 A380 will be available, that's why there will only be 2 -3 rotations per week.

If I'm wrong you can flame me later ! (I'm used to it)

+1 for 744 summer schedule reduction to 8 seats.

Emergency exit position seems odd, and, generally, hacking some early clandestine shadow seatmap into the system seems to much effort compared to just loading it transparently whenever they're ready.

If NRT is first, when is the earliest JFK could become daily? I've lost track of the delivery schedule!

Any idea when amadeus.net pages will be updated?

Also, I'm on 710 4/6... who do I ask to have the first flight moved up a week?
