I hope you don't mind me posting this here - if it needs to be moved please let me know...

maybe one of you milage experts can help me out here; I need to break out of a business meeting in Miami to attend a funeral in Switzerland and am looking for the best possible options for the following trip (using M&M miles, Business or First only)

Routing: MIA-ZRH-MIA
Timings: leave MIA as late as possible on Wed, arrival ZRH on Thursday before 9.30am; departure ZRH same Thursday after 15.30h and get to MIA as quick as possible

Currently I am thinking along the lines of:
MIA-FRA-ZRH (LH463/3720)
ZRH-BOS (LX) next day onwards to MIA at 5.40am on AA (paid tix)

Anyone have a better option? Maybe an all * without the AA tag and an earlier arrival into MIA...?

The outbound you selected is the best you can get.

For the return, your selection seems to be the quickest. There is also an option with LX and AA via EWR also arriving at 9am.

Is flying into FLL an option? Then there is a *A option arriving at 10am, with LX to EWR and then with US via CLT to FLL.

The earliest *A with a one-stop would be arriving at 13:40 with LH462 from FRA.

I have decided not to go back to MIA and leave my return flight unused. Got a F award seat on LH back out.
