Brussels Airlines "Privilege" becomes Miles & More

Brussels Airlines' (SN) frequent flyer program becomes Miles & More (M&M) as part of the integration of SN in Star Alliance.

SN currently flies within Europe and has an extensive network in Africa, with flights from Brussels to Nairobi, Entebbe, Kigali, Bujumbura, Kinshasa, Yaoundé, Douala, Dakar, Abijan, Luanda, Monrovia, etc.

Current Privilege card holders will receive an equivalent M&M status:
Privilege Gold (30,000 miles) --> Frequent Traveller (35,000 miles)
Privilege Platinum (70,000 miles) --> Senator (100,000 miles)

Although the programs won't converge on 25th of October, online they have already been merged. New cards will be sent throughout October.

Good step for SN passengers (more choices, etc) or bad options for Privilege customers (generally more miles are required from M&M for upgrades or awards)?

Nothing new, see this thread.

I see that you are new to FT. Maybe try to check if there are any older threads on the same subject before starting a new one.

And, welcome to FT!

The screens in the SN lounge in BRU show a slide show about the change, and also include:
Privilege Platinum --> HON
besides the SN Plat --> SEN

So I guess if you really fly a lot, you could get HON directly.

The mind boggles at the prospect of an enlarged pool of HONlite's(tm) crowding the lounges.....
