"PLL LOT Polish Airlines has chosen the alliance in which it wants to belong and is presently waiting for the acceptance of the Treasury ministry, said LOT spokesman Leszek Chorzewski. The airlines held talks with British Airways' One World and Lufthansa's STAR. The flight rate of LOT rose 1.1 percent in the first two months of 2002. In other European airlines the flight rate dropped 2.5 percent on the average."
