How to deal with www.lot.com ???

Does anyone know how to deal with this very moody and full of bugs website??

I tried to do an airfare search in English (I got a good price from expedia and wanted to check out if there was a cheaper one from LOT website) and it crashed my computer. http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/frown.gif Then I tried to do the same search in Polish but the only results I got were the ones where flights terminated in Warsaw. Couldn't connect to anything further. http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/frown.gif

I realise that by asking this I am almsot asking for next weeks lotto numbers but still can anyone advise if there is a way to squeeze some positive results out of www.lot.com ??

I've used that web site to buy tickets to Europe two years ago, and also had computer trouble. I called LOT's New York Office (1-800-223-0593) and asked to be transferred to the web support. The guy who answered the phone was very helpful and was able to trace the problem and guided me through to complete the transaction. He also sent me a couple of mouse pads for my troubles. http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/smile.gif

You may try call him and see if he can help. $350 RT to Europe is a good deal! AND you earn Qualiflyer miles!

BTW, they fly to Tallinn (if you know what I mean)! http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/smile.gif

Thank you Eugene!

Your tip seems to be very helpful. But where did you get the $350 fare from?? Is this the one month restricted return fare? The cheapest 1 month fare I got was $409 and 3 month return was $609. Did I miss something??

As far as Tallinn is concerned then I think that I know EXACTLY what you mean! http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/smile.gif http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/smile.gif BUT there have been some developments very recently which make Tallinn not a necessary starting point any longer. London seems to be a lot more attractive http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/wink.gif .

Spider: I have purchased tickets 4 times in the last year on LO 's site...without any problems.I did notice that the site was slow in the early hours, WAW time. Also very attractive BC fares.

Spider -- The link to the $350 to Europe fare is here: http://defiant.lot.com/Booking/javaI...?en+VWWWUSEURT . Another way of getting there is start at http://www.lot.com and click on "English", then "Skip Intro", then "Internet Promotions". I've tried a sample itinerary with 2-months stay in Europe, and it came back priced at exactly $350 TOTAL (fees and taxes included!).

Thanks for your help! The link works fine but I still can't get anywhere if following the steps from their homepage. It just freezes my PC. I don't seem to be able to get any biz prices from that link. Is there another link to them?

Here's the link to their regular reservation page: http://defiant.lot.com/Booking/javaIndex.cgi?en+DEFAULT . It gives you a choice of coach or business. BTW, I have no problems with the computer freezing. Could be some incompatibility between their site and your browser settings?

Thanks Eugene! It seems that my computer and LOT webpage don't seem to fancy each other too much. http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/smile.gif But your link works fine. Thanks again!

I can talk to the site with ms explorer, but not with netscape 4.5. I use the same connection. Lot of Java scripts crash Netscape.
