Talking Local LAX'ers - Need Your Help - Paul Smith store

Hey local LAX'ers,

Silly request for a favour but just wondering if any of you have been down to the Paul Smith store in Beverly Hills/West Hollywood? It's a corner-block pink building on 8221 Melrose Ave, Los Angeles, CA 90046. I want to head down there to try on a suit but won't be there until Jan 08 as I'm done with all my travels for the year. If you're in an around the area, could you drop by and tell me what the store is like? Whether it's big or small? And if they have luggage there for sale.

Please let me know! Thanks!

You can use Google Maps to get a street view of it, if that is helpful.

Don't know if it's too late

I stopped in the store about 1.5 months ago killing time in the neighborhood. It is a medium size store, I was looking at T shirts but nothing jumped out at me, what I recall is they had a coupla bikes for sale.

Never too late!

I was there last week. Nothing at the store impressed me. Surprisingly and to my dismay, none of their stock were up to date and product knowledge of their staff was very disappointing. Maybe it's just me or a Los Angeles thing but service there was snobby and almost disgusting. I did, however, end up buying a pair of their raw denim jeans which are hard to come by. I guess I'm better off with getting stuff here in YVR @ Holt Renfrew than having to deal with their incompetent and pretentious sales associates.

More of a West Hollywood thing than an entire L.A. thing.

LOL - I'm actually in Vancouver right now.

Hope you enjoy the cold weather and the snow we had today! Oh, and if you're in Vancouver at least until the 16th, the annual Dine-Out Vancouver event is happening.

Flew back to LA last night. Went from chilly and rainy (Vancouver) to chilly and rainy (LA). Missed the snow. Nice town though - never been before.
