Real, Boiled Bagels in L.A.

I ask L.A. FTers, where can I get real, boiled bagels in the L.A. area.

I confess, I like the bialys at Noah's, but, many Noah's don't make them, and the Noah's bagel is not really a bagel at all, being steamed instead of being boiled.

So, where can I find bagels boiling in that necessary big tub?

Bagel Factory National and Sepulveda in same shopping center as Von's market.

Western Bagel located at 7814 Sepulveda Blvd in Van Nuys, CA (just South of the RR tracks) is baking the best bagels in town 24/7.

I am a big fan of Bueller's Bagels.

When I lived in LA I lived 2 blocks from Beuller's and went there every AM. The bagels were OK but the staff were often indifferent to rude. Also I would order a Salt bagel to go and wind up with a Sunflower seed bagel, which also had some salt on it but was not what I ordered.

Eventually I started driving to Bagel Factory rather than go to Beuller's.

Maybe they have improved since I left.

There are real bagels at any real deli. For example, consider any branch of Jerry's Famous. http://www.jerrysfamousdeli.com/

Jerry's sucks.

I agree tha Jerry's is a very poor imatation of a real deli,kinda like the Cheesecake Factory version of deli-but lots of folks like Cheesecake Factory :rolleyes:
So-where ARE the real boiled bagels in LA(not the valley)?
We were actually having this discussion last sunday-re best bagels(real NY style)
