If you can get up to Marina Del Rey Chan Darette is very good Thai, and also a rather "hip" restaurant. Menu is a bit untraditional however.

Second that. It's about a $35 round trip taxi ride or you can actually take the #3 Big Blue Bus, which stops right there at Lincoln & Maxella.
