LAX terminal 1 security question: split up security opposite sides of terminal
Hello,
Can someone explain the LAX terminal 1 TSA logistics? I have pre check but regularly fly with people who don’t. We drop bags at Southwest and then head to the right towards security. There are no signs saying that this location is pre check only but most of the time there is a local security guard who only lets people into the line if they have pre check and tells people without it to head all the way to the other side of the terminal for the regular security line. At the same time once I pass this person, there is clearly a reasonable sized line for non pre check travelers. While I have been to several airports which have pre check line in a separate location from the non pre check line, they have clear signs so you don’t find out from a security guard once you get there and then have to walk to a completely opposite side of the terminal, or then actually have an operating regular line. Can anyone help explain this? I would really like to have our group all at the same security location even if we split for pre check and regular instead of a security guard telling some people to go to the other side when they could go into this same area. |
