LAX- Possible to get checked in to Viva Aerobus in Terminal 6?

LAX- Possible to get checked in to Viva Aerobus in Terminal 6?
Flying in to Terminal 6 on another airline and was wondering if there is a way of getting checked in airside for Viva Aerobus flight in terminal 6 or if it is necessary to go through security. Thanks
