JW Marriott LA Live vs. Omni LA Hotel at California Plaza

Any thoughts or comparisons between these two properties? Not too familiar with LA and heading out there for a weekend this summer and trying to decide between the two. Cost-wise, they are about the same, so no deciding factor there. If it helps, this is for a girls' baseball weekend, so we will be heading to the Anaheim game Friday (most likely taking the train) and the LA game on Saturday.

The two hotels are in different parts of Downtown. The JW Marriott is newer and in a ("LA Live") zone with lots of entertainment venues and mid-level restaurants. Omni neighborhood is nice, but much more quiet on the weekend.

The main train station would be closer to the Omni distance-wise (one subway stop away). But there is good and safe public transportation available from the LA Live area, or a ~$6 Uber/Lyft trip.

I'll just add that the Omni hotel is closer to two fine modern art museums, MOCA and The Broad (make sure to get free tickets in advance), Grand Central Market which has a great food hall, Disney Hall, the Music Center and Grand Park, and is within walking distance of Little Tokyo.
