I arrived at the Economy Parking structure at 4:25 am this morning. Only people with reservations were allowed to enter. No problem finding one of my usual EV spots on the 3rd level. The charger was not recognized by the app, but it's charging the car. Then there were 50+ people waiting for the shuttle, which took 20 minutes to arrive; yes, I called to complain and the guy knew why I called before I told him. Two arrived at the same time. I barely had enough time to get breakfast at the Admirals Club before getting to the gate for my 6:00 am flight.

Hours after booking Budget ($75), an e-mail came offering upgrade to 15% off Econ (drive up $175, dummy $106). Link goes to an upgrade button (+$18), but the next page says we'll cancel and charge you $101. The booking system is very deceptive! (If it was $93, I would!)

I haven't parked in Budget yet - and I hope not to need to. Seems like the shuttles each way run much less frequently. I'd pay $26 to not have to deal with that twice.

I’ve had a friend tell me that he saw more than one Budget buses while waiting for an Econ bus. So for some time periods of the day they may have to run more frequently because of capacity and demand, I concluded.

I'll just add that the Budget Parking lot is considerably farther from the Central Terminal area than the Economy Parking structure. |

I was slightly off posting from memory. It is every 20-25 minutes according to the LAX Official Site.
I'll just add that the Budget Parking lot is considerably farther from the Central Terminal area than the Economy Parking structure. The budget lot is a lot farther and sketchier walk and there aren't any other buses that get you close. They moved a lot of buses from the Economy route to the Budget route without changing how they show up on the realtime map and added Economy buses that aren't set up with the realtime maps as far as I can tell. |

Is it my imagination, or has the "member discount" for Economy vanished?
If I try to pre-book without a promo code, I get a one penny discount over the drive up price. If I pre-book using a promo code, I get that same one penny discount, and then whatever discount the promo code provides. |
