Some photos from my LAX air field tour

Some of you may know that LAWA Community Relations conducts a monthly air field tour open to the public. I took the July tour and took some photos with my potato phone.

Tour started at the cargo center and Imperial terminal

Heavy traffic on the south side service road...

The demo of Qantas hanger was already completed. Actual construction for MSC will begin this month.

You can't see much from this photo (looking west from TBIT) but a few weeks ago, there was a hanger and vehicle junkyard where the K-rail stands now.

Construction to extend runway 25

End of runway 25L from the service road

Thanks for sharing. Can you provide a link or information about where one can sign up for this tour? Also, how long did it last?

Tour lasted 1:15 on the day I took it.

I highly recommend it... this was the 2nd time I took it. The last time was during the TBIT construction. It's fun to see the difference before and after a major construction.

I feel like I've seen a lot of this just by taking T4-T6 and TBIT remote terminal buses!

If you ride the Eagle bus, you've seen all of the south side... But the Imperial terminal side is interesting.

Must one be part of a group, or are individuals permitted?

Thanks or sharing. Surely the first TR I've read touring an Airport. Will try to have a visit to LAX at a designated weekday to take the tour myself
