big bear / arrowhead lakes for New Years

Hey guys,

I was wondering if anyone has visited the Big Bear / Arrowhead Lake Area? Me and my SO would love to spend new years there with some friends, in some light Cali snow.-- I imagine we are a bit too late to get a cabin (that was my impression googling around for availability). However, does anyone have any recommendations for local hotels to spend 2-3 nights?

Thank you in advance for any help,

46

Frankly, no there isn't anything in Big Bear that I would specifically recommend. I've stayed at the Northwoods resort which was OK, the Motel 6 which is well a Motel 6 so my expectations weren't too high, Pine Knot Guess Ranch which is really a group of cottages, and the Robin Hood Resort which was OK at best. Of these I'd say the Northwoods is the most recommendable.

I haven't stayed in Arrowhead for a long time. There a Marriott Autograph Resort and Spa there that looks pretty nice.

Have you tried VRBO?
