New Years recommendations
 
Dear all,

My friends and I are planning a trip to LA over new years (30th to the 3rd). I have never been to LA before, so I'd really appreciate all the recommendations. Things we'd like to know are:
1- Hot spots for new years parties/events in LA (clubs/lounges).
2- Recommended hotels around these areas. (modern hotels are preferred)
3- We are coming from Montreal, so LA will be warm for us hehe, that is said, are there hotels that provide outdoor heated pools?
4- Any experiences for visiting LA during new years. What to look for and what to avoid?

I really appreciate all the comments and help.
