Parking in Santa Monica
I have an overnight in LA, I was thinking of stopping at Hennesy and Ingalls design bookstore in Santa Monica. How is the parking around there? It looks like it might be tough.
P.S. This will be a Monday night.

There are several municipal parking structures on the east and west sides of the Third Street Promenade.
Here is a link to a PDF map. The closest structure to Hennessey + Ingalls is Structure 2, which is half a block away. Parking is free for the first 90 minutes. The next hour is $1. Thereafter it is $1.50 for each additional 30 minutes up to a daily maximum of $14.
Additional information, including a link to real time availablity, is available here.

Also, many of the meters on the street are free after 6pm although you won't find much street parking along that section of Wilshire. The city lots along 2nd and 4th St are probably your best bet on a Monday night. They have signs outside showing the number of open parking spots.
As a Santa Monica resident I disagree that it's never tough to park in Santa Monica. It depends where you need to park, and what time of day it is.

We had dinner at Cassia, on 7th just north of Santa Monica, this past Sunday. The meters on 7th required payment till 9:00 pm.
