Virgin Australia departures from lax
 

I know we check in at Terminal 3 , but it says we deparat from TBIT gate 144. Where is that? I can't find it on any map of LAX.

Unless the numbering has changed, it is likely a remote gate, which you get bussed to. They are located northwest of the Bradley Complex probably about a mile from Terminal 3.

Gate 144 is the remote gate. VA parks its planes on the ground at LAX all day so it is towed to the remote gate. And unlike other airlines (e.g. Qantas) which has its planes towed back to TBIT to board passengers, VA just bus everyone from T3 to the remote gate.

I don't know why VA doesn't just move to T5 with Delta since they have joint venture on LAX-Australia flights.
