Super Awards
 

Does anyone know how the mileage cost is calculated for the Super Awards? For instance, there is a TACA flight from LAX to SJO, but there is no availabiliy for regular Global Awards, which require 30,000 miles for coach. The tickets cost about $400 through Expedia.

Just trying to figure out if there is a Dollars to Miles conversion rate, and whether the rate is based upon fares that are generally available on the internet.

Don't know the general answer to your question but as to the TACA flight my understanding was that there are airlines that offer Global Awards (the orriginal LatinPass partners and Southern Winds) and there are airlines that offer Super Awards(the more recent additions) but no airline offers both

The description on the GlobalPass website doesn't seem to indicate what you are suggesting, but this wouldn't be the first time there was confusion.

Can anyone else confirm this?
