MX leaving Star Alliance ?

Could this be an opportunity for GP to pickup a nice new partner? MX previously belonged to the LatinPass, so there is some history there.

This would be a great addition. However, I think Globalpass should try and get some other airlines on board that are strong regionally but would benefit from a global alliance.

Some I would like to see would include:

Royal Brunei Airlines
Air Nauru
Air Mauritius
WestJet (Canada)
Royal Jordanian

Just some hopeful thoughts.

So who is going to replace Mexicana?

Excluding Mexico domestic destination, Taca could fill the spot in Central America and build a link to Varig in South America. Further Taca's planes, operations and service are at level, comparabel or exceeding current * members.

A further interesting question would be what that could mean for GP.
