GlobalPass now online at Flying Blue (AF / KLM)

Here is the link

Does this mean we can earn and redeem on Air France now?

Have you looked at the mileage for awards ?
Us --> Europe Y 50k / J 160k / F 200k. Out of their minds......

davistev May 9, 2005 9:18 am

Economy awards look good. Only 50K for North America to Europe.

But I do not think we can redeem on Air France, can we? According to AF/KLM, they can earn and redeem on Taca / Aeropostal - so would it not be the same the other way around?

Just got off the phone with GP.
Effective within the last month, it is now 100K to go to Europe from North America, up from 70K when I booked in Jan.

coach KLM to Europe is now 100,000 miles. Feeling the GP love, aren't you?

Thanks, I'm aware of that thread, but since 50k to Europe was mentioned twice above, I want to double check. I haven't called, but was hoping the 100k listed in the GP database might be in error.

100k for Y.

Tried to get 3 tickets to Europe and was steered to using miles for money.
because of the following:

3 tickets on KL = 300,000

3 tickets using Miles for Money @ ~$600 each = ~273,000

Now feeling the GP love.

Wow

So, we can now use our LP Run bonus miles through the Miles as Money feature to use as a credit toward purchasing tickets (which are not award tickets) on any of 500 airlines worldwide?? If so, that would put GP back on top of the FF program list in my book (even with the rather diluted conversion feature. 68,000 GP miles to buy a $500 ticket.--BUT HECK--that's better than not being able to use the miles at all!!)

can anyone confirm?

that we can use miles as money from million mile pool?

thanks,

Djlawman May 12, 2005 6:15 pm

Bsl?

BSL--are you a Million Miler? Did you use bonus miles for KLM tickets? Many of us are interested in details. Thanks.

Miles as Money™

Miles as Money allows GlobalPass Customers to purchase products and services as a form of payment.

Please review the Service Provider section for additional information on acceptance of using Miles as Money™. Not all Service Providers accept this form of payment.

Note: Only 50% of Bonus Miles can be used for Miles as Money™ purchases.

From the Globalpass.com site.

I tried to book a UA ticket with just bonus miles and the reservation didn't complete. I'm not sure if it was because of bonus miles or a site error.

I thought there was some caveat like that on the Miles as Money deal, but went to the GP site and could not find it. Thanks. Oh well.

I'd still be interested in knowing if the GP staff offered it to BSL even though he had bonus miles in the mix, or if he had enough non-bonus miles to get the 3 tickets.

Correct -- bonus miles can only be used for up to 50% of the "miles as money" awards.

TexasYankee May 15, 2005 9:33 pm

I recently tried to purchase the Priority Pass from GlobalPass using some of my many Million Miles that I have remaining and was informed of the 50% rule for bonus awards. Unfortunately my monthly stays at Hiltons are not getting me many useable miles. I still try to keep active in case GlobalPass changes for the good!
