Award ticket on LAN using AA miles

So I am trying to go to either LIM or CUZ from LAX. When I call AA they seem to only check their own availabilty. How do I find out what LAN award availability is - or is that a hopeless case?

Is it a matter of "hang up and call again?" Because even if you found LA availability it sounds like AA doesn´t want to pay LA for it. Maybe someone here with AA status will make an inquiry call :)

Well I just did the hang up and call again. Asked the person very specfically to check LAN. At first he was finding nothing, but then he managed to find a return. So then I asked him to check an open jaw originating out of DC ( we are going to be there the days before anyway); and voila - I now have a ticket on hold :)

Nice story which some here convinced must be true:)

Fact is LAN has been withholding award inventory to OW partners added to the well reported incompatibilty problems for some months between programs.

Yes, as I just posted in another thread over in the AA forum, I currently have an itinerary on hold to go EZE-SCL-MIA on LAN next March; the LAN website shows that EZE-MIA on that day is indeed available, but the AA agent cannot see any availability. Guess maybe I'll try again tomorrow.. who knows.

Worked for me - my ticket is now ticketed.
