Just had a peer fly DL from SCL to ATL. They got to SCL from elsewhere on a Latam flight and were told the DL flight was not "checked in" and the seat was given away.

Is LA having problems checking people into DL flights? I am making this run in a couple weeks.

When your peer checked in "elsewhere" were they given a boarding pass for the SCL-ATL flight?

Yes, they checked in at MVD with Latam and were given boarding passes all the way home, and then were told once they got to SCL they weren't checked in, despite the boarding pass. They had to somehow check them in and kick the person out of the J seat they gave away. The DL gate agents had never seen this before ( I haven't either in years of flying.) The best explanation was it was glitches from the new partnership with LA.

anyone know how to input your global entry number on a latam reservation?

If I recall correctly their is a slot that says KTN. I have had no issue getting TSA Pre on my LA boarding passes leaving the states.

A few further points. Previous trip was on LA ticket stock, but only first and last (domestic segments) were on DL. Outbound was (nearly) perfect. SFO/LAX/LIM/EZE. DL-issued BPs. The only hiccup was at the LIM lounge, which only provides one or two complimentary beverages with the entry (yes, I know - another topic for another day), and they use a BP scan - which failed, failed, and failed again. After they tried and tried again and got help to try some more (using my SFO issued DL BPs), I decided to open the LATAM app and that BP scan worked fine. On the return, my Precheck showed on the segments where it didn't matter - EZE/SCL and SCL/LAX. As I was about to get into line @ LAX T3 security, I noticed that my BP didn't show Precheck - so I went to the check-in counter, and she input it. So, it didn't carry through to the final segment, for whatever reason, even though the trip showed in the LA app and in my DL profile.

Next trip is on DL ticket stock - outbound is the same (return is on DL). The LA website is wonky as ever with baggage (Z fare) - as it shows me eligible for a 10kg hand luggage, a personal item, and no checked luggage. While I know there wouldn't be an issue at the airport, fortunately segment 1 is on DL, where I have 2 x 32kg allowances and LA will allow 16kg hand luggage up front.
