Trying to book 4 premium eco tickets on the Latam website. I'm from the Netherlands with a Dutch Mastercard in EURO. The Latam website keeps directing me to a 'Dutch version' of the Latam website. Prices there are showing in EURO but about double the price on the Peru version of the LATAM website. I forced the website to show me the lower prices in USD, made the booking, entered my credit card details, even got to the 3D Secure page and approved the payment (in USD) in the app of my credit card...only to get a 'something is wrong' message on the LATAM website. Any suggestions?

With Latam, that page is a well known ending page for many people outside of latin america. I have found no rhyme or reason why sometimes my card goes through, or sometimes it doesn't. Because of that, I rarely book through the Latam website and rely on an OTA. Very frustrating, and it may or may not have anything to do with your unique booking process. It is just Latam...

I only and always use their Chilean website (in Spanish) and with my username and password also use their app. Prices always good (on a recent IPC flight in C basically half of what was quoted in EUR) and in CLP and never had a problem with international credit cards. Also refunds for unused flights are instantly on their LATAM wallet.

You may wish to use a VPN for the country where you want to buy the tickets at, so it will not redirect you.

I had the same problem when I tried to book a ticket from Berlin to Lima on Latam Peru. I kept getting error messages, and like OP, I once managed to get to the 3D Secure page and approved the payment, but still it was rejected in the end. However, I can buy tickets for domestic flights without an issue. Interestingly, Latam New Zealand and Latam Australia have the same fares as Latam Peru. I have used them to book domestic flights in Peru as well, but I also got error messages while trying to book the BER-LIM flight. The website seems to reject non-Peruvian cards. My friend located in Peru recently booked a flight from Peru to the USA but had to use his Peruvian card for payment rather than a US card, as the payment was rejected otherwise. Because of this, I suppose a VPN for Peru may not work. You may try other travel websites, but they need to be located in Peru, as the lower fares most likely have the point of sale restriction.
