Flying LATAM, getting miles on another FF program?

Hello,

I will be flying LATAM soon (MAD-SCL in JC) and I was wondering if those flights could be useful gaining tier qualifying miles with any other FF program than their own?

Thanks!

i flew LATAM earlier this month and credited the flight to Delta. Everything posted quickly. I actually got better status qualifying miles and dollars than I would have with a DL flight.

You have to go the LATAM site and look up their partners.

I just know that in the USA there's Delta in SkyTeam and Alaska Airlines in oneworld, but if you're based in Europe I don't know if either of those make sense for you (if you're not already a member of either).

So you should look through all of their partners and see if one of those is an airline program of which you are already a member. Or, if you're not a member of any of these airline programs, you would need to evaluate which of those airline programs would make the most sense for you to become a member based on where you are and where you fly the most.

It makes little sense to credit to an airline program where you're not likely to ever earn (and can't transfer) enough miles to get a good reward flight.

I've tried to credit a LATAM flight (MAD-LIM in Z) to Miles & More which was a fail. According to the Miles & More page https://www.miles-and-more.com/de/en..._basic_01.html it should be possible. The only exclusion is this: "Some flight numbers and booking classes may not qualify for earning miles." . This is what the Miles & More customer service is now also referring to why they didn't give me the miles. Anyways how should the customer know which flight numbers they are excluding?

But even worse LATAM claims now that they already credited the miles to Miles & More so I can't get them credited to any other program not even at their own program. I wouldn't care so much about the Miles & More Miles but they should at least clear them available again if they don't want to credit them to their program.
Anyone knows what to do besides writing both M&M and LATAM customer service over and over?

That flight number provision as far as I am aware is in order to exclude codeshare and charter flights.

Where did you buy those tickets?

It was a regular ticket bought directly from latam.com. No codeshare nor charter flight. Flight number LA2485.

Everything sounds in order. Seems an oversight of Miles & More, I don't see why you shouldn't earn miles

No success yet. Miles & More is still saying the flight numbers are excluded with showing any source for that. And Iberia doesn't let me to credit the miles for that flight because LATAM claims they already paid commission to Miles & More.
