PB and PE route list?
Any ideas on where I can get a list of which LAN routes have Business and PE sections?
|
Keep in mind that some routes have both... it all comes down to what aircraft is used (take, for example, SCL-LIM. It has PB on widebodies and PE on narrowbodies)
Rule of thumb (with some exceptions) 1.- any domestic route will be 100% coach (exceptions include SCL-IPC) 2.- longhaul routes will be coach+PB (exceptions are those flown in narrowbodies) 3.- international medium range routes are all 2-class. If flown with 787 or 767, PB it is. If flown with A319/320/321, expect PE, with certain exceptions such as LIM-MCO, LIM-CUN or LIM-LPB, which are flown in 100% coach config keep in mind this is a general rule of thumb... I'm sure many people will be able to point out some more exceptions :) |
I usually check seatguru for that. They are wrong some times but they have proven a good tool. If you want to have 100% certainty you can check the Oneworld scheduler (there is a PDF somewhere in the internet that contains all the Oneworld routes) and find what type of planes are used for each route.

Some routes vary, i.e., some SCL/BUE are one cabin, others have a PE (W) cabin. Are not the 789s getting a Y sub-cabin? Or is it just more space with the same Y service? |
OK. I found it, it is callled timetable (not schedule) and it is here:
Timetable Edit: In the same link you'll find a software that allows you search flights and they indicate airline and aircraft type (I'm using the Mac version and it is quite good). |

There is no BUE airport. Does it vary by whether it's SCL-AEP vs SCL-EZE, or does it still vary within one airport pair?
Out of seriousness, LAN has the tendency of using IATA city codes for airports where it does not fly regular routes and connects using OW partners. Chicago is CHI for them is Chicago, WAS, Washington, etc. So technically it is right (http://www.iata.org/publications/Pages/code-search.aspx) but a nightmare for finding where you will land. |

I mentioned BUE because I am talking about the possibility of this occurring to either airport. SCL/EZE is the only route with typically a 1x/day Premium Business cabina.

More confusion about these routes. In the first post, you only talked about flights having a Premium Economy cabin, and now you're only talking about flights having Premium Business.
