Frustrated with award reservation - need help
Called to book a ORD-YYZ on AA. KVS shows availability in business. Checked on the Qantas site and can also see business availability (hence my assumption is Lan should see that availability as well).
(I call the premium "english" speaking callcenter. Rep tells me I can't book that flight at all since it is American Eagle which is not part of Oneworld... I'm about to HUCA since I realized this is not going to work. Unbelievable. Upon me insisting he's wrong he checks and confirms that of course I can in fact book an American Eagle flight using lanpass km.) However, he doesn't see availability. How can there be availability for Qantas and not for Lan? Is he just wrong? Any suggestion? thanks |

Well, by the time you checked it WAS gone. Now it's gone on the outbound leg as well so no point in further pursuing this. I'm positive though I was looking at the Qantas website and the available business seat on AA was there... yet the Lan agent couldn't see it. Better luck next time.

That is correct.
What's the Flight #/Date in question? |

As noted in the AA section of the KVS Tool User Guide, the [Awards/BA-OneWorld] Method should be used instead: http://Help.KVSTool.com/#AA |

Does KVS show you dates (or approximations) when an airline might open up seats for award travel? I mean if no award seats are CURRENTLY available, does KVS help you find out when those seats might open?
However, KVS Tool makes it easy to periodically [re-]check for Award Availability. |
I switched to using the BA method:
[KVS Tool 7.7.2/Diamond - Awards/BA-OneWorld] Code:
ORD Chicago O'Hare Intl IL US [KORD] [KVS Tool 7.7.2/Diamond - Awards/BA-OneWorld] Code:
YYZ Toronto Lester B Pearson Intl ON CA [CYYZ] |

Doesn't that mean there is availability on the outbound and inbound?
For tips on dealing with Agents, who may claim otherwise, please see http://Help.KVSTool.com/#AgentSaysNo |
I understand but regarding LAN, and maybe other folks can chime in here, if I can't see the AA availability on the Lanpass site the agents can't see it either and nothing I've tried so far has worked.
