Using km to get free flight, help with route

HI Forum!

I got 8.845km miles left from my last South America Trip and am now coming back to South America. I am currently in Guatemala and will make my way into Venezuela. From there I would like to make my way down to El Calafate, Argentina. I got a flight booked to Ushuaia already from my Antarctica Tour operator.

Could you please give me an idea on the cheapest way to get there using Economy class? There are many different options to fly through I guess so it would be great to get some advice from you on that and also the information if I can use my KM for this as well. I think they will not be enough since it’s a long distance to cover but maybe I can get the overall price down a bit using the KM after all the taxes that will be included.

If the KM are not enough to get down, maybe I can just book LAN flights to accumulate more KM and then use them to get back up again because I want to travel to Buenos Aires and Rio in Brazil afterwards.

In any case, I would be grateful for some information regarding the cheapest way to get down from Venezuela to the South of Argentina :)

Thanks
Chris

Well, i got it covered now. Found a few flights from Santa Marta in Colombia to El Calafate in Argentina for 550€ overall, I think its a good deal!

My complete plan is up here now in case someone wants to join or has feedback :)
