"Flash plugin not installed"
Trying to checkin in online using iPad or cellphone, do I get said useless message.
|
What is your question? There are lots of websites that don't work on Apple. Apple products do not allow flash.
|
My question is why does LAN not make a website that works on Apple products? These are the most popular electronics.
|
Yes. They should offer a non-flash version, but I don't think Apple dominates worldwide marketshare. In South America I think it's something like 15%+.

Anyway, I found a workaround using a cloud based flash browser for iPad.
But I urge LAN to enter the 21st century. :p |
Flash has also been pulled from Android. But you /really/ expect LAN to produce a website that works?

If its seat selection, just wait a few seconds and it will take you to a dropdown list with the available seats. Only backtrack is that you can't check in to your originally assigned seat (it assumes the seat you had is already occupied, so its not on the list)
That being said, there's a new app for LAN that includes check in and its really good. Refer to the thread about it right here. |
Found this thread and I'm hoping someone can help. I can't get seat selection to work on the LAN site at all. I can get to the page that shows the flight and passengers, with a button that says, select seats. That opens a new page with a spinning circle, that just keeps spinning - nothing else ever loads.
I've tried Firefox; IE 11 with and without compatibility mode both on Windows; Firefox and Chrome on Android (which at least say a plug-in is needed); and IE on another computer. Any thoughts / help? |
Does your fare class allow seat selection? (lowest do not normally)

Very soon, passengers traveling on any international flight operated with either the 767 and/or 787 that use the online check-in function on LAN.com or the APP will soon notice a "difference" when selecting their seats during the check-in process. Hint, it does not apply to LANPASS Comodoro, LANPASS Comodoro Black and oneworld Emerald frequent flyers....:)
http://i58.tinypic.com/2lasrc3.jpg ? I got an exit row on my flight ex-EZE a couple of days ago as a non-elite passenger so maybe they haven't got the message yet? i |

I love a good mystery :) Hmm, on a totally unrelated topic, I wonder when LAN will finally introduce the pay for seat option that shows up for no effect right now?

I thought I heard it was possible to e-mail LAN - that their e-mail customer service was actually much better than their phone service, as long as you can tolerate the 24-hour response time (which is fine by me). However I couldn't find an e-mail link on the LAN site? Anyone have that? |
