LAN JFK-SCL Arrival Time Changes
 
Can someone explain why the LAN JFK-SCL flight changes so drastically in arrival time over the next month? Summer time/schedule?

LAN Airlines JFK to SCL - Tue-Wed, Nov 2-3 - 8:00p-6:50a
LAN Airlines JFK to SCL - Wed-Thur, Nov 3-4 - 8:00p-7:50a
LAN Airlines JFK to SCL - Mon-Tue, Nov 15 - 8:00p-8:50a

Sipo.

Eastern time to Chile Time is -0 during the northern summer and -2 during the southern summer.

(Don't forget also that Chile is fairly far east - SCL is almost due south of PWM)

is due to daylight savings time changes.

they change the time to -1 in SCL first.
after a couple of weeks eastern time changes and make the difference to -2.

what doesn't make sense is the nov 2nd arrival 6.50.. I think it might be wrong as nov 1 and nov 3 is 7.50.. it should change only after nov 7.

Not great - these changes caused my SCL connection to go from 50 minutes to 5 hours.

It will change again in March. LA will soon increase frequency on the SCL-JFK route to daily.

No, SCL-JFK-YYZ will operate 5x weekly and SCL-JFK will operate 2x weekly. Also, SCL-MIA-SCL will soon operate 10x weekly year-round.

On 3/16/2011 LAN will operate the route daily:

LA532
9:45 PM SCL
8:35 AM+1 JFK

LA533
8:00 PM JFK
6:50 AM+1 SCL
