Same day confirmed change for Premium Business
 

Hi folks,

I am booked on an Iberia ticket multi-city ticket with a segment SCL-LIM operated by LATAM in Premium Business (Z) class.

I read on the LATAM website (https://www.latam.com/en_us/check-in...flight-change/ ) regarding this policy but it only mentions costs or fee exemptions for economy class. Does anyone have experience about doing same day confirmed change on international premium business ticket? Would it be possible? Is there a fee waiver?

The fee is for Economy and Premium Business. If you have a Top brand fare is free.

The thing is you need to have a ticket bought with LATAM fares and I don't think your Iberia ticket qualifies. You can try doing the change on the webpage or in the airport but YMMV

It actually works really well. I have used it several times on flights from EZE & LIM to SCL, but always economy - no cost at all. I will strongly assume it works similar on Premium business, however there are a lot fewer daily flights with Premium business...
The option appears automatically on the LATAM app on the day of the flight.

Reporting back a data point after my trip. The same day change option was not available since the ticket was issued by Iberia... only LATAM issued ticket will have this option activated 24h before departure.

What about a ticket issued thru MULTIPLUS? Have a situation where routing in (J) GYE-LIM-JFK is $2,300 cheaper for 3 of us than GYE-JFK direct. Would gladly use this option. I assume it's per person the $58 charge? 2 of the tickets would be thru AMEX (so it would be under LATAM) and one would be issued thru Multiplus.

Well now it's with a cash purchase direct thru LATAM.

Can one on a (J) ticket who has a flight on Day 2 at 8:10am that goes GYE-LIM-JFK do same day flight change for a flight on Day 1 at 4:10pm that goes GYE-JFK direct? It would be 16 hours prior and while it's not same-day the only thing LATAM says is that the change button is activated 24 hours prior. Difference of about $650 so worth the effort if rules allow.
