Same day flight changes — is there a charge?

Spent 30 min on phone with poor-English speaking agent and couldn’t get an answer to a simple question.

I have a domestic (COL) flight CTG-BOG with 4 family members. The 230 PM flight is much cheaper than the 130 PM so I was going to book the 230 then go standby on the 130. Is there a charge for that? Do I need to buy a specific ticket level? I’m Sapphire level as an American Airlines platinum, if that matters.

15 USD for flights within Colombia and you need to buy a Light or Plus fare. The fee is waived for Top fares or if you are LATAM Platinum (OW Sapphire), not sure if this applies for OW FFP or companions though

More information: https://www.latam.com/es_cl/administ...erga-tu-vuelo/ (Spanish, sorry)
