Left my iPad on the plane
On my last flight from LAX to SCL I clumsily left my iPad on the pocket in front of me. I realized this when I was already home.
So far I contacted LATAM and they say I should wait 24 hours so the airport can make a lost & found report of the flight.
Has anybody had this problem before? How are my chances of getting my iPad back?

Not precisely an iPad, but I have left my phone TWICE (this really sheds some bad light on me...), once on board (on a SCL - BOG flight) and at the charging station in the lounge (GRU, en route to SCL) and was lucky to get it back on both occasions.
However, they should be able to tell you earlier than within 24 hours, if the iPad was found, as the aircrafts are usually cleaned and inspected right after disembarkment.

Thanks for your words of encouragement! I called LATAM again and they said they found an iPad on my plane and I could check it out at Baggage Services at SCL.
I asked what the opening hours were, but they told me I could go anytime. I went last Sunday at 6pm, but then I found they close at 5pm. A trip to the airport wasted
Went early today and was able to get my iPad back! The lady just asked me for proof of ownership and I was good to go.
