new "d" gate train note
 

They have been doing construction on the "d" gate airport trains. On 3/8/09 I rode out to the "d" gate, they have "new" (or upgraded(?)) equipment: (1)brighter lighting, (2)better signage, (3)"nicer" announcements--the seating arrangement seemed to be the same. [On arrival at las on 3/6/09, the train I rode on was the "old" equipment, so maybe only one "line" (of the two tracks) has been given the makeover?]

Exactly. The old trains had logged over a million miles and were in need of replacement. This has been discussed a few times already, but I believe yours is the first review of the new equipment.

I was on the D gate train into Vegas Mar. 8 and then out again Mar. 11, and I didn't notice anything new or different.
