2 bedroom suites?? October
Going 3rd weekend in October. 4 people looking for 2 bedroom suites somewhere fun and classy.
Initially we wanted to stay at Wynn or Palazzo but now that we're looking for 2 bedrooms other options are opened. Definitely want to stay on the strip, no Mandalay, hard rock or palms. Any input?? thx, Nick |
Skylofts? (Definitely FUN and Definitely CLASSY]
Seriously, if you don't provide a budget, this is a bit of a difficult question to answer. ;) |
Skylofts for sure, if there's no budget.
The Mirage has nice 2 bedroom Tower and Penthouse suites that are classy in an "old-school" Vegas way, with lots of red fabrics, white marble, and big cushy couches and beds. (This will change summer of '09 when they are done renovating these suites to the New Vegas plasmas/purples/clean lines decorating language) |

The Wynn works out to about 410 per night for a single room, so we're thinking 1k per night is as much as we'd go for the 2 bedroom.
for those looking for a very new (1 year old) reasonable priced 2 bedroom suite that is 1500 sq/ft the Flamingo GO Metropolitan Suite isn't a bad choice. (if you can get over the fact that your are staying at the "Flaming-O" ;);) ) Flamingo GO Metropolitan Suite With Strip views from floors 27 and 28 of the Flamingo the GO Metropolitan Suite is the largest and most lavish Flamingo room product. Each two-bedroom, 1500 square-foot suite is adorned with rich hardwood floors, two marble bathrooms, three entertainment centers and four 42” flat-panel high-definition television sets. Accented with vibrant green, interspersed with browns and splashes of orange, the décor takes a fresh approach to the retro Flamingo style. More details and pics (left sidebar) HERE Sample rates, NON-player : from harrahs.com Fri 10/17/2008 $840.00 Sat 10/18/2008 $855.00 Sun 10/19/2008 $755.00 Pretty decent for a TRUE 2 BEDROOM, 2 BATHROOM, newish suite, on a weekend. Though, I would probably just connect 2 of the regular suites @ Palazzo, which is probably [a bit] less money; and would provide approximately 1400+ sq/ft (when combined) of space and 2 bathrooms. Since, as we know, the new GO suites @ Flamingo are nice the pool is ok the location of Flamingo is great But, the overall ambiance of Flamingo is.... well, sucky! :p:p |
If being on-strip is negotiable, the two bedroom suites at the Hilton Grand Vacations Club at the Las Vegas Hilton are very, very nice.

id suggest considering palms place. only 599 units.
unfortunately skylofts is expensive on weekends. weekdays can be in that price range, with 15% virtuoso discount. |
I'd do adjoining suites at Venetian or Palazzo, or do Mirage's penthouse suites (which are quite nice).
(Well, actually, I'd stay at Platinum, as it's one of my favorite places in Vegas, but you want to be on the Strip- whereas I don't mind walking a block if I MUST go there.) |
I know you're looking at the Strip area, but the Residence Inn Convention Center is only a few blocks off-strip at Paradise Road & rates start at 239/night for a 2-bedroom. If looking at Wynn & Palazzo, though, I'm guessing your budget is slightly higher.

Another vote for the Mirage 2-bedroom Penthouse or Tower suite. They can often be had for very reasonable rates.
The one issue is that the second bedroom is a regular room with a regular bathroom (i.e., no separate shower). The master bedroom has a humongous bathroom. But both obviously get the benefit of the large living room/dining area. |

Adjacent is the Tuscany, with limited two-bedroom suites. While the Tuscany is cheaper, it's cheaper (e.g. one needs a top-floor room just to avoid hearing walkers overhead) . . . It's more like an extended stay hotel. |
theHotel at Mandalay Bay is all suites. Maybe they have this option?
|
thehotel has 2BR penthouses in OP's price range that include access to foundation room
