Quarters Exchange

2.5 years later .. Are there still casino's on the strip that will change quarters?

Hi,

I usually travel to the US with a bag or two of quarters and dollar coins ( it's amazing how quickly you build up change).

When going through TSA security, I remove them from my backpack and place it separately with my other stuff for xray ( as I was told the bag of coins look like a solid mass on the scanner and if they cannot see it they will examine the bag whereas if they see the coin bag separately they do not ( assuming there is nothing else in your bag)

Regards

Many casinos still have coin counting machines in the cashier's cages, but they don't get much use anymore. Call and ask. Whatever you do don't bring dimes.
