1St TIMERS IN A QUANDRY.
Myself and family are going to Vegas for the 1st time in Dec. 12/22-12/25. Staying at T.I. I believe I have found a REAL sweet deal. The itinerary is the same for all 3. Cleve-Nash-LV. LV-Cleve. I can get it at Southwest for $822. I can get it at T.I. for $892. Heres the kicker....I can get it at usa travel for $772. Do I go thru T.I, SW, or the agent? I am just sooooo confuzzled. Anybody steer me in the right direction that would be the best way to go? Thank you Donna

not sure if this is a consideration, but if you purchase directly from TI (via the MGM-Mirage Reservations booking system) you "might" be able to reduce your rate (at the end of your stay) based on your casino play. Though, some of the best rates do require pre-payment (even on the TI website).
If you "pre-pay" for the hotel through any 3rd party company, additional discounts (off the room rate), based on play would most definitely not be an option.
Also, according to the TI website booking system :
so, you might want to spend some time reviewing the "direct-book" TI offers.

Well since the flight itinerary was given by the OP i'd say chances are pretty good it's per person, with flight included. Also, I doubt Southwest.com is a mecca for those wanting to book hotels only.
My advice is to always book directly with the company you're using. That way if there's a problem with the flight or the hotel, you don't get to hear Southwest or TI say "Contact your booking agent. We can't help you". Booking with a third part for that small of an amount of money would be penny smart, pound foolish in my book. In my experience you up your chance of free upgrades as well when you deal directly with the provider of service. Wouldn't hurt calling TI and bargaining with those numbers though. Hotels are usually more negotiable than airliners.

The price I gave of $822 was the total price for 2 people with air and hotel. I just dont know who to pay. The hotel, the airlines or the travel agent. I just dont want us to miss out on any comps. Should we qualify for them. Which we should. He**, we may go there and hate it. We may go there and love it. This trip will be a decision maker. As long as we have a good time, we don't care how much we lose.

Donna, as alluded to by other posters, have you checked what the airfare and hotel would cost if booked separately?
Once you make sure that booking a package is a better way to go financially (often it isn't), it seems to me that you need to decide whether it's worth a $120 premium to book with TI and potentially get the room portion of your package cost comped back to you because of your play while you're there. You wouldn't be eligible for a partial or full room comp from TI if you book via Southwest or USA Travel -- although you would still be eligible for comps related to other expenses charged to your room.

To the OP, priced separately, airfare on Southwest is $661 and hotel only at Treasure Island is $237, so the better deal would be to go with the Southwest vacation package of $822 saving $76. However, if you are planning on playing and getting comps, as baccarat_king said, you might want to just book separately. Enjoy your visit.

Wrong attitude. Make up your mind that you are going to Las Vegas to kick butt. Study, really study, the games of craps and blackjack (the lowest house percentage games) before you arrive. Go to the gamblers' bookstore web site, or your local bookstore, and buy a good book or two on each of these games. Download a blackjack basic strategy drill program.

T.I. can't comp your hotel if you book a package through Southwest or a travel agent. If you really have an unlimited budget for gambling, you should book the hotel through T.I. Then, you need to charge all food and beverage to your room. Be sure to use your player's card every time you play to get credit for your action. I haven't stayed at T.I. in quite some time but back in the day I would be comped for all food, beverage, shows, at Mirage as well as at T.I. If you can still do this -- ask at check-in to be sure -- this means that you should be charging any meals etc. at Mirage to your room as well.
You can bring your airfare receipt and if you are really giving a lot of action then you can ask about being reimbursed for airfare. But it's much much more difficult for them to approve this.
You definitely won't miss out on any comps if you are willing to play a minimum of 4 hours a day on $5 slots but you might be surprised at how big your bankroll would need to be. :-)
