Bette Midler 2008 Dates?

Since FlyerTalkers know just about everything - has anyone heard additional dates for Bette Midler at Caesers in 2008? I'm aware of the Feb.-March 2008 run, but am trying to plan for summer or fall. Thanks to post if you have any further information.

She has signed on for two years, and I believe 90 shows per year, so - well, try going to Ceasars website and see if you can put in the date you want to go see the show. My guess is that they have at least six months scheduled, if not the entire year.

BTW, I have seen no ads here, but a friend told me they have been running full page ads for Bette' show in the NY Times every Sunday - how are the ads going around the rest of the world?

Unfortunately the schedule beyond March has not been released yet.

Maybe it's just because I'm a 27 y\o male, but am I the only one who this is a really substantial drop in starpower going on here? I plunked down my $200 like many others to see Celine even though that's not really my wheelhouse, and saw Seinfeld there as well. I am planning to make a trip out with the parents to see Elton before his run ends, but Bette Midler? Don't get me wrong, I know she's a relatively big name, but is she seriously going to fill that coliseum for 2 years?

Thanks for tips on tickets folks.

As far as Bette as a draw - she will do fine. At minimum, I can pretty much guarantee you nearly every gay man over 40 in the United States and Canada will consider going to the Vegas show, and as many of half of them may well attend. All of my friends are abuzz about it. She is beyond huge with gay people. Beyond that it will depend on the quality of the show. Celine certainly had a broader overall marketing appeal.

Really  I was completely out of the loop as to her having that big of a gay following. The posters I saw her on had her dressed as a sailor, so I should have known something :p

The press release says "about 100 shows a year", so I imagine that she'll take the hottest part of the summer off.

I think she'll draw as well as Celine. It is Vegas after all.

Rumor has it that Caesars is in negotiations with Cher to fill out the remaining dates that Elton John and Bette Midler are not using.

Me and the other half are flying over all the way from London just to see her in the first fortnight run! Yes we are a gay couple, both over 40 but coming from way beyond North America.:p And I dont think we will be seeing her just the once either.

Even had to book in at the MGM Skylofts to see if their concierge could get us decent seats for a show. Thankfully, they did.

I USED to think that, but now I don't. In the interest of racking up a few miles from my credit card and possibly making a minimum profit, I bought two pairs of tickets for Bette. I bought them when they were first released. They were GREAT seats for opening weekend. It took me more than two months to eventually sell them for barely more than break even :( When I purchased them, I figured they would be a SNAP to sell....but it was difficult even in the Christmas season. It will be interesting to see how the show and sales go after she gets started.

Well, maybe not the whole summer :).

Bette's show was really fab. The first two weeks were a sell-out. The Skyloft concierge did get us hosts seats in the middle section as they said they would.

We took to opportunity to get tickets for Cher at the end of May and to see Bette again in the middle of July direct from the box office.

Made it to see the first two run for Elton, Bette and Cher!
