Don't know if this has been mentioned, but I've skipped the line at Aladdin's buffet just by showing my SPG Gold card.

I keep out of trouble by avoiding the Grand Lux - which in my experience has the most abysmal service of anyplace in Vegas. And since there are no other places with lines, who cares if one is or isn't a Gold.

The service at the Grand Lux in LA is very good.
Too bad about the one in LV-was only there once and I remeber the service and mngt. were very stupid.
Best idea is to go at off times-I line up(or not)for dinner by 6 or after nine.
Usually skip b'fast and go to the buffet around 10:45

I've only been to the Grand Luxe once in Las Vegas but the food and service were excellent. I had the Pasta Telefono and I plan on dining there again on my next trip. The Pasta Telefono is to die for.

Maybe you guys just had a bad server or something? :confused:

NWSilver, did you skip the payment line or the line after you pay? We were labeled "VIP" after we paid and then went to the express line, but we still had to wait to pay.

Didn't stand in either line. Walked right up to the register that said "VIP," paid, and was seated immediately. Whole deal took about 2 minutes. Was pretty impressed since I'm just SPG Gold, which is a pretty easy status to get.
