Which Cirque?
 

Wife and I are staying Vegas, Luxor (yes I have read all the bad reviews). Wife wants to see Cirque Du Soleit. We have not been to Vegas for 10 or so years (stayed at down the street hotel, $39 night, its torn down now).

There are 5 shows claiming to be Cirque! Help! Zurmanity from $120, Love from $130 (large place), O from $155, KA from $145 and Mystere from $100 on a stool or 140. Prices are all for the cheapest left over during the week. We will be there Sun, Oct 1 thru the 6th.

Need some comments and help. Will pay the price (last show we went to was $45), but will need to sit in the nosebleeds.

Forget the prices, I found another sight for the cirque, with lower ones. Still, which is the best or better or not good and is it assigned seating, so the line is not an issue?

All Cirque shows in Las Vegas are assigned seating. But you should still arrive about 30 minutes before official showtime as there's often a "pre-show."

Although everyone will have their favorite Cirque show, I am really a fan of O. It is just incredible; I have seen it three (or is it four?) times and would gladly see it three more times. But they are all good. If you are a huge Beatles fan, you'll probably get a kick out of Love, their newest show. It has a lot of energy. Ka is very impressive technically (and has more of a traditional "storyline" than the other Cirque productions), but I didn't find it to be as magical as O. I also really like the music in O, which is performed by live musicians. Mystere is the cheapest show and is classic Cirque, but it's not as "grand" as O or Ka. I probably wouldn't waste time with Zumanity.

I'm not sure I would trust sites claiming to give discounted tickets to the Cirque productions; almost all of them sell out every night (possibly excluding Mystere, which is the oldest), so I haven't heard that they're typically discounted. In each case you can buy tickets directly (on-line) from the casino hosting the show, and it will indicate the seat number(s). In some cases you can get an electronic ticket e-mailed to you, which you can print out.

'O O. Oh, oh, ohhhh.

O is a different show as it involves water, but it gets my vote.

"O". But I am OD'd on Cirque shows now after having seen several of their traveling and static shows. I hope not to go to another one, or anything of the same genre, for a long time.

We've seen O, Zumanity and Mystere.

If you've never seen a Cirque show, I'd suggest Mystere.

If you have, the definitely O -- very unique.

If you've seen lots of Cirque shows AND seen O, then Zumanity.

Have all the Vegas shows and the one at Disney in Orlando (La Nouba). O is by far the best. If you will be back in Vegas anytime soon, I agree with PTravel about seeing Mystere first as a good option. Mystere is still a great show and all the other Cirque shows I have seen are really good, but after seeing O first, nothing has quite lived up to it.

In terms of seats, I got my O tickets at the Bellagio website (they used to go on sale 3 months ahead of time for hotel guests, 1 month for other folks - not sure what they do now) and had almost the last row in the upper deck. The view from the top was still amazing.

And fyi, the Towers rooms at Luxor are not that bad if you can swing them.

Are these really the prices available or a bogus site. One ticket site I was at is 2x these prices? These are $60's and $70's for the cheapest available seats. Help soon please!

There are other web sites that might charge more for the tickets. They are companies that have bought up tickets and then are holding them to resell, expecting seats to sell out. I would not recommend going through these companies, *especially* (and obviously) if seats are still available direct.

If there are web sites that are charging *less* for these tickets, I would be very suspicious.

If you use the links above (which go directly through the resorts hosting the shows), you should be safe -- you'll get retail price, and can pick out your seat. The web pages should also have phone numbers for the Ticket Office if you wish to call directly.

For many of the shows, there are different pricing levels for seats depending on how close they are to the stage. But I think almost without exception, any seat at the Cirque du Soleil theaters offers a good view.

Ka or O or both....

I called the MGM box office the other day, and they have something like $68, $99, $125 and $150 seats, and all were available on the day and all had a full stage view.

Make sure you know what days you're going to be there, if i recall correctly they dont perform on sunday and monday.

Each show has different "dark" nights -- they generally have two shows a night, five nights a week, but the nights differ across the shows.

Thany you all. Booked Mystere, as suggested, for Oct 4th, early show (7:30), 120 for 2 in sec 201, Row AA not to good, but it will be fine. May do O too?

the cheaper seats means that you are further away from the stage and thusly less likely to see the faces of the performers, which are painted and great to see.

Even more important there are seats with Limted Views could be a pillar will block some of the view or whatever.

Thrust me You get what You pay for when it comes to CdS , tkts for any SdS show is NOT the place to be Thrifty! at least IMO.

as for the shows themselves Mystere is probably the best if one has never seen a SdS, cant go wrong with "O" and Ka I hear is also something not to miss.

as for Zumanity its not SdS in its finest but more of an orgy (havent seen it dont know if I will) and Love is not as good as the 1st 3 cause the Music as good as it is I was told takes away from the SdS main Performance.

Then do go to their website as they have 1/2 dz traveling shows which are under a Big Top and are great as well, in case it will be coming to your city or in case you will just happen to be where 1 is playing, I liked them all.

I saw KA, couple of weeks after it opened. I got a front row seat (probably because the show was so new), it was pretty warm from all of the flames. Woo!

It was a technical marvel how they were fighting on the stage that was vertical at times, but I'm sure the other shows are great, too.

We were in LAS exactly a year ago for six nights, and O was a great show.
If you cannot arrange tickets through the hotel, go to the www.bellagio.com website as recommended above. The restricted view tickets are fine (it is front row of the second seating area, with only a stair rail restricting your view a tiny bit).

As with anything else, everyone here has probably recommended O in hundreds of other threads. It's fun to watch the clowns before the proper start of the show, so get there in time :)
