Good Accom?

Hi all,

Been looking through the threads, and found some great rates. I'm planning for a trip to Vegas. 23-25 Dec.

Now I noticed that there are fantastic rates for Aladdin, but during this period, its "sold out", reverting to the normal rates. Its no surprise. Was quoted by the system as 149 per night.

However, I called Treasure Island, quoted me 139.99 per night, tax not included. Add 30 per room for 3rd person.

To seasoned hotel stayers, which is a better deal? Aladdin or TI in terms of room quality /service and ambience?

Or does anyone have a suggestion on where I can get cheaper rates at hotels of equivalent or better standards? It'll be good to have a package, but not a must.

Try Harrah's (look under deals in top menu), NY-NY and look for the special price days...actually most of the properties have a calendar with some pretty good prices on them..except weekends.
I am not sure how Christmas affects the price. Most other holidays push the price to the limit in most LasVegas properties.
Take a look at the Hilton and Luxor also.

There's actually a whole forum dedicated to Las Vegas:

As KathyWdrf has pointed out, this probably is best discussed in the Las Vegas forum, as this is not Starwood-specific.

I can usually find some pretty good rates at the Flamingo. Their website usually has the best specials. If busy it can still be $250 a night. In spring, midweek I can find it for $60.

Try www.cheapovegas.com for some reviews.

You can probably get cheaper rates elsewhere, but TI has pretty decent accomodations.

Now, I'm not telling you that I condone this, but many people don't pay extra guest fees at hotels, especially in Vegas where the front desk has little idea what's going on in your room.

Thanks for the shift. I kinda posted it in SPG absent-mindedly. Pls pardon.

Re: your question about TI vs Aladdin, I'd rate them as kind of even overall in terms of quality and service. Aladdin's basic rooms have better bathrooms, however.

The period between Thanksgiving and Christmas can yield some of the best prices of the year. But the best deals tend to go away as you get closer to Christmas Day. Also, the nights you want are weekend nights, which are always higher than weekday nights. For example, the Aladdin promotion called "Cearly" still shows $49 rooms on Dec 20/21/22. So, if you're flexible on your dates...

Hi, was looking through the suggestions. Can't get those rates for Aladdin.
Now looking at TI instead.

Just asking, how to get Players' Club memebership? And what is it?

Back to the main topic. What are other hotels to stay in that are on the strip and having the experience and price as these 2? I heard Luxor and Harrah's. Are they recommended?

Well unfortunately, my dates aren't flexible. Tickets are already booked, and non refundable. That's why. =(

The Las Vegas Hilton has Run of House rooms for $89 for those dates via hilton.com. Expedia offers it for $69 with a $25 bonus chip. (HHonors members, don't get too excited. The Las Vegas Hilton is one of five Hiltons that don't participate in the Best Rate Guarantee. Nonetheless, it might be worth calling to see if they'll match Expedia's price even if they won't give the BRG's gift cheque. Edited: The $69 rate sans $25 chip can be booked at http://www.lvhilton.com.)

The Flamingo averages $98.
