What's shut down in winter?

Newbie question:
We're interested in going to LV for our anniversary around Jan 22-24.

Is Jan a bad time to go? I've been in LV in July, wife has never been.

We're worried about TI's Siren show being shut down.
Are all the other free shows (Rio, Ceasar's statues, dancing waters, volcano, etc) still running then?

Thank you in advance.

The only time that a lot of stuff in town is shut down is mid-December, and even then it's just that a few shows go dark. Pretty much everything should be open for January.

Thank you.

But how can the TI Sirens show go on in January?
Wouldn't it be too cold (likely) to wear their costumes and jump in the water, etc?

thank you for the link.
I'll trry to catch a showtime and see if the show runs in January. ;)

Now I'm re-considering going in winter - I wonder what a good time to go would be (that is warm at night, but not July'ish hot).

Jan/Feb is usually pretty busy, due to Chinese New Year and SuperBowl

The only thing that will be closed are some pools, other than that it's a great place to go in winter :)

Oh yes definately. You don't want to get yourself scorched by that desert heat come July and August. Last time I went there this past summer, not only was the heat unbarable towards our body, our vehicle needed 4 bottles of coolen to drive us back to California. We ended up spending more time at the gas station than the casinos. :D

The TI show closes when the wind is too strong - due to hazzards with the fire. I have never seen them close due to cold.

Last year at this time, the Sirens of TI was indeed open and playing. Wind (as previously pointed out) would be the only reason it would be cancelled. If you're staying at TI, there's a special viewing area for the show (just show your room key to access it). I'll probably see it again for the amusement factor - but it's not that great (at least in my opinion).

I saw 'Sirens of TI' once, and I have no desire to watch it again.

Bring back the pirate battle!
