808 at Caesars - Review
Had dinner at 808 at Caesars last Saturday and was very pleased. I'd definitely reccomend this place to anyone who enjoys the Hawaiian 'Fusion' cuisine.
I started with their signature Deconstructed Ahi Roll, which was basically Poke on top of crab, on top of avacado & rice. Absolutely loved it! Was very happy that I did not order the chef's tasting menu, because it only included a 'mini' version of this. For the main course I ordered the Seared Ahi with Zinfandel reduction & white beans, and liked it more than the comparative dish at Roy's. I found that the pairing of the Beans & Tuna really worked, as the beans tended to soak up just the right amount of the wine. I finished this off with the Macadamia Nut Crunch bars, which was what seemed to be a flourless chocolate cake on top of a bed of crushed macadamia. It looked almost exactly like the crunch bar dessert at Alan Wong's in HNL ... it tasted a little different, but I enjoyed it just as much. |
Sounds good. We're heading to Vegas next week. What is the price range of this restaurant? We were thinking about the new Mesa Grill, but the couple we are going with is a little price conscience right now.
Thanks for all your posted reviews today, by the way. |
Price Range
Dinner entree prices were in the $25 - 35 range.
Glad you liked the reviews ... I've still got one left for Fiamma @ MGM, which I 'll try to get in a little later. |
