Las Vegas May 24 with Kids

Hi,
I'm new round here so looking for some help and advice. Planning on going to Vegas in May 24 with hubby and 2 children (aged 11 and 8). This is our first trip to Vegas so ideas on where is best to stay and activities would be great. Looking to stay 4 or 5 night before we move over to Disney California.
Not sure if this help but i have gold status for Hilton, Gold status for Marriott, Ambassador status for IHG and Amex platinum. (All UK schemes)

Thanks in Advance

Welcome!
Wow, you plan far in advance! If you scroll down you will see that there are several threads about Vegas with kids & that might be a good starting place for you to narrow down your interests. Would you prefer a hotel with a casino? On the strip? May is a good month and it should be pretty hot so I assume that a good pool area will be important. Are you wanting to go to any shows with them? If you plan on renting a car, maybe you would like some day trips outside of Vegas.

why so many nights in Vegas?

I would cut it doen to 3 nights thrn do something else on the way to Disney like do desth valley or see south rim of Grand Canyon. Helicopter rides dont take you to the real canyon. Only a plane does from vegas. West rim is hot flaming garbage.
lgrom either place you drive to Disneyland with a stop at Joshua tree national park.

Thank you i will take a look at those. I would prefer one on the strip for ease of getting to places. Im not sure my 8 year old would sit through a show sadly but thinking of renting a car towards the end for some trip to do things a bit further out of Vegas. Pool is a big yes as both mine love pools.

We have thought of cutting it down so thanks for the advice. Towards the end we had planed to rent a car so trip further out would be a great idea
