I know---I have stayed there several times & did walk to all those places. But if a smoke free environment is the goal then going to any of those places ruins that. Vdara is a nice hotel with big rooms but I like stepping off the elevator into a casino. FWIW, I have never had a smoky room or even smoky smelling hallway at any of the big hotels (Aria, Caesars, Cosmo, Bellagio are my usual stays) so I always can get out of the smoke but yes--you do have to walk through it to get to the room.

That was not my answer...I suggested both the Park MGM which is entirely smoke free including the casino and Vdara which has no casino.

I lived in Las Vegas for 32 months until mid-2021, and to me the absolute worst thing about the city was all the cigarette smoke, especially in the casinos.

Maybe it is my imagination but I think the ventilation in casinos is much better since they were closed during covid. Casinos are still smoky of course but the smoke doesn't just sit there....fresh air seems to be circulating in better.

It's gotten much better. Vent system upgrades plus added scents doing their job. Also, some casinos don't allowed smoking on the main floor / pathways anymore (Cosmo e.g.). It helps a lot. Weed smell on the street is a complete different issue tho.

That's because Las Vegas legalized marijuana, but didn't give the tourists anywhere to smoke it.

I just came back from a stay at the Cosmo....I didn't notice any restrictions on smoking anywhere. And not just at Cosmo...a couple months ago I stayed at Aria but played at Bellagio and Paris too...no restrictions that I saw. Did you see signs to that effect?

+ the removal of ashtrays around the main walkways. People do still smoke and it rarely get's enforced, but it's gotten better in my opinion.

According to my casino host, all Caesars properties in Vegas (don't know about elsewhere) have gone to non-smoking hotel rooms. Casinos still allow smoking, however.

Pretty much every California hotel I have visited claims to be smoke free. But at most properties I smell tobacco or cannibis on the elevators, in the hallways, and last weekend on the balcony at an upscale Marriott resort. The worst is when it drifts through the ventilation.
If the hotels start assessing the $250 fines then it will have some teeth...
Venetian has all smoke free rooms according to the website.
