If the price is the same, go with the Palazzo room. I'm very surprised the price of the Palazzo Grand suite is the same as the Wynn Resort King. I'd expect the standard Palazzo Luxury King suite (720 square feet) to be equivalent in price to the Wynn Resort King. If you can get the larger Palazzo room for the same price, why not go with that?

The Palazzo Grand one bedroom suite is 1280 square feet. It has a powder room, living room, dining table and a separate bedroom. The Wynn Resort King is 640 square feet, nicely appointed and lovely, but...

I don't know - possibly Wynn could be better for the check-in experience and overall luxury. Last time I was at Palazzo the VIP/Invited Guest checkin was closed. No reason given, middle of the day on a Tuesday. Very annoying.

Sign in to your IHG account and make the reservation through the IHG website. If you get the room through a casino offer or via a casino host you will not get IHG points for it (in my experience, anyway). They are two different entities in that regard.

Best hotels thread
First trip to Vegas since before the pandemic. Just Mrs. B and me, we are looking for a luxury room, pool where we don't have to fight for chairs in the shade, good gym/workout facility and if possible non-smoking floors and less riff raff. Have MGM Gold and Amex Plat FHR but those aren't really drivers. Not in our 20s so we don't want the crowded pool party with that loud annoying "house" music.
Considering:
Rejected (all places we have stayed):
We stayed at both last time we did Vegas and they were very comparable in terms of all your criteria. In the base room the Wynn "bedroom" is divided from living room area by a screen (but no door) while Palazzo is simply in a raised area if that makes a difference (probably not unless you have 3+ persons). Wynn has a much better pool area. IMO Venetian/Palazzo/mall has better restaurant selection but that's personal preference. I think you still get IHG points/stay credits with Palazzo if that's a factor.
Considering:
- Casaers (Nobu)
- Delano
- Vdarra
- Aria
- Wynn
Rejected (all places we have stayed):
- Venetian (love hotel but pool is weak)
- Bellagio (small rooms)
- Four Seasons (more than 2x price of others - even I have a limit)

If you're considering Vdara and Aria, how about the Cosmopolitan? Their rooms were originally designed as condo rooms, so one-bedroom suites are available.

I am packing right now and leaving tomorrow and staying at Cosmo. I am debating if I even want to pack a swimsuit because I don't like dealing with chair roulette.

Thanks for all of the sound advice. We decided to pivot to Sedona - free accommodations (expiring timeshare points), no incessant smoking and lots of outdoor activities. Not as many dining options,..

Imho there's no such thing as luxury hotels in Las Vegas with adequate service standards unless you're a whale and/or some sort of VIP. The MO was good and had fairly high service standards (for a North American outlet that is). You can get decent rooms at Wynn, Encore but unless it's a money splash (private pool villas at Bellagio, Crockfords, Caesars with butler service) just don't get too excited.
