Monorail/tram only way to get to luggage?
Hi , I may be asking this prematurely as we have not yet booked our flight from LAX to Vegas...
We have flown in from lax to Vegas in the past and have used the monorail to get to luggage.
We plan on going with friends and one of them is hard to get into trams/monorails without getting into details.
Is there a way to get to our luggage without using the monorail?
Thanks

Depending upon the airline you may need to use the tram. Some airlines (AS, B6, among others) access baggage claim by a bit of walking and going down an escalator.

You also get a newer terminal with better bathrooms and a much shorter walk to luggage and transportation. Your return flight out of T3 is much easier as well.

Southwest has lots of non stops from LAX. In LAS you take the tram and then there are long escalators but there are also elevators if the escalator is a problem. Is your friend in a wheelchair or is just the issue of stepping in and out of a tram car a problem?

NB: At the airport, those are trams. Not a monorail. The Monorail is a system that runs between hotels behind the Strip and goes nowhere near the airport.

The only concourse where a tram is required is the D concourse. A/B/C are directly connected to T1 (though it can be a long walk from parts of C) and E is directly connected to T3. So no tram required for Southwest.

AS is Alaska. Alaska arrives into the Terminal 3, E gates. From the gates AS uses it is a short walk to an escalator down to baggage claim.
