I have been going to Vegas every month for the past 2-3 years, but I'm not in a huge rush to be one of the first to reopen. I also question whether 3 at a blackjack table or 4 at a crap table will make the whole process much less social (irony noted) and sterile (irony intended). Not to mention that players will no longer be allowed to handle the cards (or so I've heard), but I wonder how that differs from chips which you really can't help but have the players handle.
I'm certainly happy to wait a month or two and see how things go. I have no need whatsoever to be a guinea pig.

Regulars are not fooled by fake “sales” particularly when they know resort fees and taxes are massive. Now $49 might get some attention and fill rooms...

we paid less in July 2018 so those rates don’t look all that special. In fact I have a Rez at about 1/2 that rate at the Delano.

I do agree though, those rates are nothing special given the current circumstances. But also to note, they're also limited to 50% occupancy so supply is limited. Personally, judging from the many gaming pages and forums I frequent, it seems the demand is there.

Comparing the rates of Wynn to Delano is like comparing Delano rates to Circus Circus, they're on different levels/categories.

Not awful at all. Delano rooms are nice (maybe not quite as good as Wynn or Venetian but much better than any of those others you list). Mandalay Bay has been declining for years . . . but some good restaurants there and at the Four Seasons. Sunset at the restaurant on top of Delano is great. Overall, I think Delano is a very nice, affordable niche place (especially if using Amex Platinum).
If your first trip to Vegas, may not want to be that far south but not the case for you.

I have stayed at Wynn but not Delano - is the latter really that awful? I was not that impressed with Wynn - just the same luxury room I get at Venetian and maybe a little bigger than Bellagio, Mandalay etc. Casinos are all the same except that some have better air filtration and lower table limits. I did not get the impression that Delano is in the Flamingo/MGM/Luxor/NYNY category but let me know if I made a terrible mistake (not that it matters as I expect we may cancel anyway)
No, Delano isn't awful at all. I should've used a more appropriate example than Circus Circus, maybe Nomad or Nobu? But Delano still wouldn't be ranked on the same level as Wynn. It's just another one of the those hotels within a hotel that's more tranquil than the rest of the property.
It boils down to preference. I'm sure many people would stay at Delano for $50 vice Wynn for $100, and also vice versa. Cant go wrong with neither, if prices are relative to the property.

I got a TI invite as a peon for $99 a night, no resort fees, weekday or weekend.
They're also doing a BOGO on nights, dinners, etc., although the $39 resort fee gets charged on all nights, including the free ones:

At Caesars I'm seeing better deals than normal for the time of year with my TR account - comped rooms at all the mid-tier properties Fri/Sat nights in June (I wasn't even aware many were going to be open). It depends on what events are going on but most times Fri/Sat night comps for me are rare and only at the Rio or maybe Harrahs & Linq (low end strip properties). This is very person-specific so I'm more saying I'm seeing better deals than normal (I'm not a high-roller at all). Some big gamblers probably get comps at the nicer properties 7 days/wk.
I did read that the demand upon reopening was higher than first thought so they opted to open a 3rd property. I think initially it was only going to be Caesars and Flamingo and they added Harrah's.
I'm thinking of heading down towards the end of June. I've never gambled through plexi-glass while trying to drink a beer through a mask and want to check it off my bucket list

I'm headed to Vegas over the July 4th holiday weekend for two nights. I'm looking for a full service resort and my preferences are: plenty of onsite restaurants, nice pool and gym, bars, casino. I'm not looking for the Circus Circus or Tropicana crowd but not super expensive either.
MGM? Caesars? Luxor? Any suggestions are appreciated.

I would probably pick the MGM or Caesars pools over the Luxor ( lots of concrete at luxor with a few repilca egyptian temple stacks). The MGM pools can be some distance from the rooms though.
I did like very much the Bellagio pools ( but not sure on the prices over 4th July) and loved Mandalay Bay beach and lazy river ( but not sure how much will be open currently). Wynn pools are very nice too.

Even Wynncore is pretty cheap for July 4th right now, so it seems like you have a lot of options.
