Dude, what are you waiting for? Sign up for Mlife and Caesars now. No wonder they don't have a room for you...you are a nobody....just another schmuck going through a midlife crisis instead of a Mlife crisis.
The first thing they are going to ask you if you call that number is for your mlife number. Just like AAdvantage.

I got an email from Caesars (TR) noting that as of 6/24/20 wearing masks is REQUIRED except while eating or drinking. Hopefully smoking (which is not an exempt activity) will now be BANNED.

This is because the Nevada gov passed a mandate requiring wearing of face coverings indoor in Nevada. Given the target market, I doubt they will include any prohibitions on smoking.

It's difficult to smoke while wearing a mask.
Re dining, when I was in LAS 2 weeks ago, the restaurants I visited had tables spaced nearly 12 feet apart, so eating sans FM was not a serious problem.

You haven't seen people who just poke a hole in the mask, and stick a Cig through?

Thanks for the number. I spoke to a girl there that said I can only wait for them to call me usually 48 hours out from the reservation to see if I am okay to switch to a hotel that is open. My other choice was to cancel today get refund and start from scratch. Oh I added my mid life crisis number too.

There's a viral video a while back of a guy in the casino smoking a cigarette around his mask. People will remove the mask to smoke just like they remove the mask to sip a drink, Vegas casinos haven't banned drinks either.

No. I"m going to wait until tomorrow and see if they call me with another hotel to switch to. If they don't I'll cancel.

Why would you cancel?? It is not like they are going to let you sleep in the street.
If anything...maybe you can squeeze a little something out of them for your inconvenience. when do you leave?

I called and spoke to someone again this morning. She asked me if I got an email indicating where I was being moved to. I said no, that's why I'm calling. She told me to call 48 hours from now (Wednesday AM) and at that time they will assign me a similar type room in an equivalent open MGM property.

I agree that is really cutting it close. If they want to put you at the MGM (which isn't bad) I think I would say that you prefer to stay at the Aria as it is closer to the part of the strip that you initially reserved and this is quite an inconvenience to you. It can't hurt.
Or Bellagio

They sent me an email

"Dear Guest,

We are looking forward to welcoming you to Las Vegas soon.

We show you scheduled to check into Mirage on July 2, 2020. While we do not plan to open Mirage during this period, we have transferred your reservation to Aria. You will receive similar room accommodations at your same nightly rate, fees and inclusions based on your existing reservation confirmation."
